Samsung Galaxy S series are high-end Android smartphones produced by Samsung Electronics. Together with the foldable Galaxy Z series and the now discontinued Galaxy Note series, the lineup serves as Samsung’s flagship smartphone lineup.
The series consisted initially of smartphones and the first device, the Samsung Galaxy S, was announced in March 2010. Samsung later expanded the Galaxy S line to tablet computers with the announcement of the Galaxy Tab S in June 2014. The Samsung Galaxy Tab series is the related tablet line.
